Description
The dumpster that Mandy Management has provided for the apartment building at the corner of Edgewood and Sherman is far too small for the number of units in the building. As a result, trash is often overflowing, and ends up littering the block.
A larger dumpster (or a second dumpster, or more frequent emptying of the dumpster) needs to be provided.

Big Tim and Jo No are mistaken. Go back and look at what the site says is their purpose (Click "How It Works" above.) Here's an excerpt:
Governments and other entities responsible for the public space (such as utilities AND PROPERTY OWNERS) become more accountable to the public by acknowledging problems and providing effective communication about solutions. [CAPS are mine]
Mandy is a property owner that several community members have an issue with and are reporting as encouraged by the city administration. That is EXACTLY what this site is for. If you only limit it to reports of "potholes and graffitti" (your spelling) then you are wasting a perfectly useful tool. It also suggests that you haven't really been paying attention to how folks are using the site.

I've only been using SeeClickFix for about a year, but in my experience of limited posting and extensive watching, this is exactly the kind of thing for which SeeClickFix is useful.
If you don't like it, don't vote for it.
I've reached out to the management company, though I have yet to hear back from them.
I'll go ahead and contact LCI as well.

do you think?:
Your comment is extremely offensive an inappropriate.
Any legitimacy to the comments in the beginning of your post are overshadowed by the racism at the end.
You're doing nothing to help.

@do you think?
I typed "mandy management new haven" (without the quotes) into google, and it returned the correct address and phone number.

Once again you are wrong Mr. No No! By posting on this site the information on who to contact was provided, several other residents in the neighborhood were informed of an issue, and LCI was notified to keep an eye on the property.
Stop being so damned negative!!! Stop trying to tell others what to do or how we should use a tool designed to be user defined!!!

It was highly inappropriate to close this issue. If a Dumpster is too small, it means it fills up to overflowing, then is emptied, fills up to overflowing, then is emptied etc.
This is obvious.
Closing this post was an obviously foolish, and therefore raises questions as to motive.
I also live near this Dumpster and agree it must be replaced or something done to permanently address the garbage problem at this property.
Also, there is a tenant on the second floor of this building who throws trash out the second floor window into a narrow alley way behind the building running parallel to Edgewood, an alley that, by the way, is know to police as gang alley and has a special high intensity street light trained on it all night long.
So, we request that Mandy Management clean up this horrendous garbage infested alleyway as well as address the issues created by its Dumpster.
This building is owned by T&G Investments LLC, the same people who run Mandy Management. Both offices are located at 399 Whalley Ave.
Mr. Komisar, I would ask that you not close posts for non-acceptable reasons in the future.

Oops, this is embarassing. Mr. Komisar, I deeply apologize for the strong wording I used in reopening this post. I did not realize that you were the reporter of this problem. I thought you closed someone else's report prematurely.
No excuse -- I could have taken the time to read more carefully. It is quite clear.
However, I do feel we could keep this post open a little longer to make sure the Dumpster is taken care of and because of the horrendous alleyway behind this building, which remains untouched.
I hope you are willing to agree to that, despite my coming on too strong and possibly having offended you by that.
Thanks.

Apology accepted.

just wanted to let you know that you are not the only one who is having a problem with mandy management.
.*****Renters Beware*****
Mandy Management is a poorly ran company that does not take care of its tenants. At 1523 Chapel Street the elevator has been out of order for almost 2 months. Their only concern is taking our money and showing no concern for the elderly and handicap that live in this building. They have made no head way on getting it fixed. They say that they are waiting for a part. Where could this part be coming from that it takes 2 months to get here? As old as that elevator is maybe they should put in a new one it’s not as if they don’t make enough money off of us to replace it. Mandy Management says that they are #1 for apartment rentals in new haven, they should be known as the #1 slum lord in new haven.

They are undoubtedly slumlords. Appearances are deceiving. I created this account because they aren't heating the apartments on 285 Edgewood, and there are small children here, so heating with a stove is triply dangerous. They have a number of excuses, even after numerous calls have been made, and Livable cities was called - Tuesday... still no heat. The hot water goes out sometimes for more than a day every two weeks - no exaggeration, ask anyone who lives here.
These people are millionaires, so there's no excuse for this abuse of tenants and city resources - rental assistance programs, etc. Look up the properties they own in multiple cities on the Eastern sea board.
I have seen random people use the dumpster who don't live here but not with huge bags. The superintendent may not do or say anything about the hot water issue, but he does sit outside quite a bit to monitor things, so he's at least keeping drugdealers and similar vermin at bay. I doubt the overflowing garbage is solely due to the random people throwing a bottle or lunch bag away, but it happens. So, there's that.
